Job Description

Experienced Structural Designer
As designer your primarily role will be to work on E3D related projects together with equals in primarily Denmark.

Your primary tasks includes:

  • 3D modelling using E3D (E.g. primary, secondary and tertiary steel structures e.g. monopile, jacket, decks, girders, boat landing, I-tubes, J-tubes, anodes, cages, piles, mud mats, lift points etc.) including self-check and liaison with approving engineer.
  • Establishment of 2D drawings including self-check and liaison with approving engineer.
  • Checking of drawings / documents according to QA standards & procedures.
  • Review Inter Discipline Check (IDC) documents from other disciplines and incorporate findings in the 3D model.
  • Feasibility studies and preparing sketches for drafting.
  • Steel Structure / Concrete GA’s – Prepare / check.
  • MTO / WCR preparation and checking.

Furthermore, you are technically well founded and have an interest in technical challenges. Is proactive of nature, has very good presentation skills, and set an honour in delivering a perfect 3D model and associated 2D drawings of high quality.

To succeed in this position, you need the following competences:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Oil & Gas/Energy experience and/or Offshore Substations.
  • Hands-on experience in E3D modelling.
  • Theoretical knowledge with good practical understanding.
  • Well familiar with international codes and standards (ISO, AWS, API, DNV, NORSOK etc.,)
  • Be well versed with other discipline drawings such as P&ID, Piping GA, Isometric drawing etc.
  • Hands on knowledge of 3D Model review software like Navis or others.
  • Experience with 2D tools like ACAD and / or MicroStation.
  • Experience in vendor drawing review, IDC of other discipline drawings & documents.
  • Experience of other 3D Model software like MicroStation will be an added advantage.
  • Very good English Skills, both written and oral.
